First of all...Big shout out to my new neighbors! Joe and I were unloading two days worth of stuff at our new house when a guy about 50 years old came over and asked if we needed help. Joe and I replied at the same time, just not with the same words... He quickly said , in his deep man voice, Oh no man, thanks though. While he was busy declining I was bust putting a big smile on my face and thanking him for the offer. I put down my end of the dresser and stepped aside. After moving the dresser inside and putting it in Ryder's room. He said that he was going to round up a few more people. Pretty soon our whole side of the block was out helping us move! I could not believe it... The wife and daughters of the helping husbands came out and we all chatted while the men did the manly thing of moving. I thanked them with a case of Coors that was in my fridge. Of course I apologized for the quality of the beer, my dad raised me right.. I did quickly point out that it was free and cold. They were happy. We were so happy! I cannot wait to visit with them some more! The day we moved in Joe had to go to work that night so I got busy unpacking. We are three days into our new house and I have 4 boxes left. I am a dedicated little thing if I do say so myself. We are planning a BBQ here in the next month so come on out! Food and Drink will be waiting for ya!! We got Kirra all registered in school for the fall school year. Hey little school is so cute! I am sad and happy and scared all at the same time. weird to be the mom of a school aged baby. Here we go, I guess! I am holding tight I know this is going to be a looong ride... Any advice? Bring it... Here is our new address my fellow friends and family... Love to all!

Share the road...Not in Chesapeake
So, Joe gets up today after working all night last night and has lunch with the family. We needed a few things from the store so we went up stairs to get dressed...yes it was noon and yes we were still in our jammies... any who... We got dressed and got our bikes out , put the kid cab on the back and with out saying anything we were off... Today we were not as excited about our decision. I read last night online ( I know I should never, ever read how to lists because I always take them to heart and follow them to a "T") about general "Must do's" when tour biking. There is a name for this insanity. Tour biking,, any way, again.. It said that you should always ride on the road. The road is the safest place to ride a bike... not the sidewalk. I could not wait to ride with the traffic... I just knew people were going to be patient and nice, sharring the road with this little biking family. WRONG! Something happens to drivers when they get behind a bike. I got cussed at by soccer moms in their mini van...I got the evil eye from a school bus driver... I got honked at by an old man in a Crown Victoria...the list goes on and on.. I don't know if you know this about me but I have a little temper. By the time we were half way to Target I was LIVID! Sounds crazy, I should have just let it go I know...I was so angry at these crazy drivers that we turned around and just went to stinky old Bloom... But... Mark my words WE WILL GET TO TARGET!!! I should also point out that I later drove to Target. Hey, we are all weak sometimes.
*SMALL SIDE STORY OF OUR EVENTFULL DAY*
Later this same day after Joe had gone to work and the kids and I had eaten dinner I decided to be super productive and do the touch up painting that needed to be done before our move tomorrow. I was on a roll.. My molding looked brand spanking new.. I moved onto the toddler bed that I had posted so that the lucky new owner had a fresh new coat of paint on their new bed... Just as I was finishing the last spot the can of paint turned over onto our carpet...UGHHHHH. I could do nothing but stare at the growing blob of paint on my carpet for what seemed like an hour... When I finally pulled my self back into reality I called my neighbor frantically and asked to borrow her car ( Remember, Joe is at work...) She agreed. I got the kids in the car. Sure, Ryder only had one boot and no shorts on but hey, EMERGENCY!!! We drove to the Food Lion and I said to the cashier " I spilled paint on my carpet, I need a rug doctor!!" She looked at me like I was stupid... but she started the transaction... when we were almost through, almost out the door with our solution( Rug Doctor.) The cashier turns to me and asks for my I.D. of course I just lost my D.L and Mil I.D. So there I am, almost in tears, the babies are acting like wild animals I said "Please, I don't have an I.D., I lost them... is there anything I can do??" ...there wasn't. Joe had to come all the way home from work, rent the stinking rug doctor and go back to work. I got the paint out of the carpet using pure acitone and carpet solution... I spilled the other half of the can of paint a couple of hours later... The answer to the question you may be asking yourself is NO I did not finish off the huge bottle of wine I have in my fridge..I did however take some cheese grits and sugar toast to bed with me......

Car? What Car?
My knees are sore, my back hurts and I am just plum tired. I know you think it's because I am getting old and I have two crazy babies at home, not to mention the husband, but no! We have given up the use of our car...why? Mainly because of my rediculous sense of pride and my love for saving money. I read an article a while back about a New York man who quit using his car. He stopped taking cabs and busses and using his private jet too... He built this neat thing to pull his family around the city in and he even wrote a book about life with out a car. I did not read his book and I did not give up using my private jet... I did however decide that if this man can quit using his car then so can we! I went on down to the bike shop and after looking at a few bikes and picking my self up off the floor after seeing the prices I knew I had to start somewhere else... Yard sales! We found Joe's bike from a rather hefty man who thought he'd get into shape and ride his bike all around town, he then decided that was not such a good idea and that brand new bike sat around until his wife convienced him to sell it. Good for us! There was our first purchase totaling $20.00... Later that same saturday morning we found one of those pull cart things that the kids sit in ,and, bonus it doubles as a jogging stroller. That was also brand new. The owner of that decided it was not manly for him to have it...score! $20.00 later we had a complete set...almost. Mama's bike was harder to find but low and behold we found a perfect bike just my size...okay... it is a kids bike but you really can't tell. That beauty was only $10.00.Sure the pedal is half broke and the handle bar is a little crooked and the seat makes my butt so sore I wish I could inject my butt muscles with novacane but thats no problem because it is perfect for me... So $50.00 later we were all ready to go. And go we did! We have quit driving cold turkey... Don't let me fool you it is not easy. It's hot and people stare at you and the kids like to kill each other sitting so close for so long. Also, I cannot wear make up... thats all I will say about that. But... it is a great experience we are teaching our kids to be aware of the environment and that a good time does not have to cost anything at all!! We ride to the park and to the grocery store and to the pool...well, we ride everywhere!! This is day three friends. The adventure shall continue and I am sure that we will have so many stories and picutes that we won't even know what to do with them all!
